It’s Memorial Day.

I milked this morning as I usually do Monday mornings. I also didn’t get up until 7:30, even though my alarm kept going off every 5 minutes since 6 and I kept hitting the snooze.

There has been a lot of life happening lately, between my mom struggling with her health, the growing herd share, internal struggles, and starting a new job. God has been teaching me and showing me what it actually means to be surrendered to Him and fulfilling the place that He has for me right now.

It’s strange, as I was noting in my journal a few nights ago, that with all of this “chaos” and uncertainty in my own life, let alone on the world’s stage right now, I can be. and am, so at peace.

I have 2 quotes I taped up on my bedroom wall quite a while ago, that are just now beginning to be real to me. They’re something that is purely true and growing to be a reflection of my inner life.

Walking the dawn-wind,
Jesus, Heavenly Lover,
in the still beauty of the waking morn,
unveil Thyself to me,
and with the vision shall come,
the strength for trials yet unborn.

If the aim of the Christian life is NOT to just be a better version of ourselves, but to actually become more like Jesus, God's Grace is the catalyst for that change and transformation.

-RUTH CHOU SIMONS

I’m being taught, by the Holy Spirit, what it means to be wholly satisfied with Christ. It’s amazing what happens when one opens their life to the Lord’s leading and guidance.

Each day of life is a gift. Each friendship, each meal, each chore, each simple pleasure, is a gift. From Our Heavenly Father, who loves us to the point of dying on our behalf.

No moment is too ordinary for Him to orchestrate His Will through.

No season is wasted in His perfect view of time.

No tragedy or beauty is without His Divine Handiwork.

None of us can understand it, not really.

But we can hold to the Truth of Who He Is without knowing how it all came to be.

He shows us Himself, in the least expected places and times, not because He is solving all our problems, but because He is enough.

I have an inkling that this post may sound similar to the last one, but I have caught a glimpse of His Majestic Love and it humbles me. I’m not afraid or ashamed of attempting to share the Truth. The Truth does not change. He is firmer than the foundations of the earth.

His heart for us is so very tender and compassionate, He wants us to know HIM.

And when we come to Him, needy, helpless, overwhelmed, He sees us as He meant us to be, and He loves us.

Though to say we come to Him, is itself, a stretch. He came to us, to sinful humanity, to redeem us from where we were imprisoned in our sin and shame.

It is a choice to accept Him or not, but regardless of our choice, He loves us.

It’s through the acceptance of His love that we are made whole and well.

Through Him that we are made at peace, and in peace with our Creator.

I hope you have a good Memorial Day.

Remember the sacrifice that Christ paid to set us free forever… and accept it for yourself.

Liz
