About
This blog is written for the young woman who desires to walk practically and joyfully as a woman of God in today’s world.
It exists for those who carry good and honest longings—for home, for family, for meaningful work—and who are learning how to live faithfully even when life does not look as expected.
Here, language and practice are given for a life lived in hope and preperation:
learning to care well for what is already present,
preparing for a godly feminine life lived through service, whether single or married,
and resting in Christ’s steadiness, strength, and peace as life unfolds.
This blog holds a vision of womanhood that begins before marriage and motherhood and does not depend on being seen, chosen, or validated by the world to be meaningful or delightful.
Blessed Pleasance exists for women who find themselves living between God-given desires and present realities—not because everything is figured out, but because true fulfillment is embraced through trusting, surrendering to, and walking with God in the present and future.
It is written for the woman who loves God deeply, longs honestly, desires to live well, and wants to learn and discover what it means to be a woman of God in modern everyday life.
Spiritually, she lives from the new birth found in Christ Jesus, learning to walk in His ways as revealed in the Word of God (John 3:15–18, 21).
Mentally, she seeks to lift her thoughts toward the goodness and beauty of God, setting her mind on her Heavenly Savior and learning to think on what is true, lovely, and life‑giving (Philippians 4:6–10).
Physically, she practices faithful care for her body, her environment, and those entrusted to her, honoring God with what He has given (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).
Relationally, she is learning to meet others with both grace and truth, following in the footsteps of Jesus Himself (John 1:17) trusting that God knew what he was doing when she was created, as a woman.
If you find yourself learning how to live faithfully, intentionally, and beautifully each moment of the gift of today—rooted in hope and sustained by Jesus—
you are welcome here.
